OSHKOSH, Wis.- Lexie Sondgeroth (Rochelle, IL/Township) and
Shelby Mahr (Boyd/Stanley-Boyd) both broke school records as the UW-Whitewater women's track and field team finished fourth of four teams at the WIAC Quad Saturday at UW-Oshkosh. UW-La Crosse won the meet with UW-Oshkosh finishing second and UW-Stevens point was third.

Sondgeroth won the 200 with a time of 25.09, beating her record from 2013 by 0.06. Her 25.09 is the fastest in Division III this season. Mahr won the weight throw with a distance of 18.4 meters (60-4.5), breaking the school record of 59-2.75, held by Jessa Luebke set back in 2011, and moving up to third on the Division III honor roll this season.

Megan Linse (Jefferson/Jefferson) finished second in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.18.
Amanda Brom (Jefferson/Jefferson) added a third place finish with a 2:13.34 in the 800, and
Amy Kahl (Huntley, IL/Huntley) finished fourth in the 3,000 with a 10:47.93.

Sondgeroth added a season-best in the long jump with a distance 5.8 meters (19-5), the top distance recorded in DIII this season, to win her second event of the meet. Linse also placed fourth with a jump of 5.22 meters (17-1.5).
Melanie Pilon (Waukesha/South) reached a height of 3.38 meters (11-1) in the pole vault to finish third and Mahr added a fourth place finish in the shot put with a throw of 13.57 meters (44-6.75).

The Warhawks will compete in the NCC Cardinal Classic next Saturday before they host the WIAC Indoor Championships February 28 through March 1.
