BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The UW-Whitewater Warhawk women's track and field team finished the NAIA vs. NCAA Challenge in fourth place out of nine teams Saturday at Olivet Nazarene University.
Results
Lexie Sondergroth opened the scoring for the Warhawks with a 26.05 in the 200 meter dash to finish first.
Jennifer Rathsack (Plymouth/Plymouth) finished fifth with a time of 27.26 and
Beth Dreikosen (Sheboygan/North) finished sixth with a 27.36.
Amanda Brom (Jefferson/Jefferson) took top honors in the mile run with a time of 5:11.88 while
Nicole McCue (Edgerton/Edgerton) placed seventh in the 60 meter hurdles stopping the clock at 10.04.

Meredith Heller (Hales Corners/Whitnall),
Sarah Kasiurak (Bartlett, IL/Bartlett) and
Anna Unruh (Marshall/Marshall) finished eighth in the 4x400 meter relay in a time of 4:29.38.
In the field events, Sondergeroth won the long jump with a jump of 18-10.75, the best jump in DIII so far this season, and
Megan Linse (Jefferson/Jefferson) finished fifth with a jump of 17-0. Unruh finished eighth in the high jump clearing the bar at 4-5.
Melanie Pilon (Waukesha/South) finished third in the pole vault with a height of 10-11.75 and
Emma Glogovsky (Elkhorn/Elkhorn) finished in a tie for seventh, clearing 9-6.75.
In the triple jump,
Tyler Henderson (Madison/Verona) finished third with a jump of 35-1 and
Kaylee Raucci (South Elgin, IL/St. Charles North) finished fourth with a jump of 34-5.75.
Candice Wayne (West Bend/West) finished in a tie for seventh with a best jump of 33-6.75.
Shelby Mahr (Boyd/Stanley-Boyd) won the weight throw with a distance of 56-2.75 and
Amy Miskowicz (Woodstock, IL/Marion Central Catholic) placed eighth with a distance of 45-3. Mahr also finished second in the shot put with a throw of 44-11 while Miskowicz finished seventh with a distance of 41-5 and
Genny Rose Stringer (Assumption, IL/Assumption) placed eighth with a long toss of 37-11.25.
UW-W will be back in action when it hosts the Warhawk Classic on February 1 at noon in the Kachel Fieldhouse.
