Warhawk Netters Fall Twice

The UW-Whitewater men's tennis team is now 0-4 in dual matches this season against three Division I opponents and the number two team in Division III after two losses Saturday evening in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Warhawks fell to Kenyon 7-2 and dropped a second dual 5-2 to DI UW-Green Bay.

Kenyon finished second in the NCAA III championship tournament last year, and came in to the 2012-13 season ranked second by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.  UW-Whitewater is ranked 29th. 

Paul Burgin, Kenyon's number one, is ranked fourth in Division III singles, and the number two doubles team of Wade Heerboth and Robert Turlington is ranked fifth.

UW-W will host the Warhawk Invite Friday and Saturday, February 15-16.  Whitewater will open with a match at 12:00 Friday against UW-Oshkosh, then face Wheaton College (IL) at 3:00.  Both of those matches will be played at the Four Lakes Club in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.  Saturday the Warawks will play Grinnell College at 11:00 at Cherokee Country Club in Madison.
