Box Score The UW-Whitewater men's soccer team defeated Ripon College 3-1 Sunday at Fiskum Field in Whitewater. After a last minute goal led to a loss Saturday, UW-W bounced back to add another win, improving their record to 12-3-0. The Red Hawks fall to 3-10-0.

Bob Shone (St. Charles, IL/St. Charles East) scored the first goal of the game after 29 minutes, the only goal during the first half. After halftime,
John Gottwald (South Milwaukee, Wis./South Milwaukee) was quick to drive the ball down the field and score the second goal of the game, assisted by
Sam Kuchenreuther (Brown Deer, Wis./Brown Deer). Gottwald leads the team in goals (6) this season.
Shortly after,
Kyle Ricely (Lombard, Ill./Glenbard East) scored his first goal of the season and UW-W found themselves ahead 3-0.
Alex Buchman (Waterford, Wis./Waterford) played in goal for UW-W the entire game and faced just two shots, one a successful penalty kick. Buchman's record as goalkeeper improves to 2-0-0 with the win.
This in the ninth consecutive win for UW-W against Ripon. The Warhawks hold a 20-7-1 advantage in the all-time series.
The Warhawks will host Loras College Wednesday at 7 pm at Fiskum Field in Whitewater.
