First places finishes by Shelby Demos (Janesville/Parker) in the high jump, Shelby Mahr (Boyd/Stanley-Boyd) in the discus, Janna Wise (Verona/Verona) in the 3000 meter steeplechase and Jacky Bigger (Twin Lakes/Wilmot Union) in the javelin led the UW-Whitewater women's track team to a fourth place finish out of eleven teams Saturday at the UW-Platteville Invitational in Platteville, Wisconsin.

Demos' mark of 1.71 meters (5-07.25) ties a school record held by her set in 2011.  Demos also set a new UW-Platteville Track and Field facility record.  She broke her own previous record by 1.25 inches at last year's conference championship meet.

Janna Wise (Verona/Verona)'s win in the 3000 meter steeplechase is her first collegiate win.  In total there were eleven season bests by the team at the event.
