Divers provided the biggest share of points for UW-Whitewater in a 165-78 loss at UW-Stevens Point Saturday.

Riley Maher (Darien, IL/Hinsdale South) won the one meter competition with 187.30 points, with teammate Keefer Kuhl (Kenosha/Bradford) second with a score of 177.65.  The same duo went 1-2 on the three meter board, Maher accumulating 180.60, followed closely by Kuhl at 177.65.

UW-Whitewater swimmers finished second in four events.  Marcus Genrich (Janesville/Parker) swam 1:49.50 in the 200 freestyle, Benjamin Wynn went 55.15 in the 100 butterfly, Joe Devroy (Kenosha/Bradford) swam 55.30 in the 100 backstroke, and Ryan Stuart (Frankfort, IL/Lincolnway East) had a 4:59.23 in the 500 freestyle.

Derek Schieble provided a team highlight with 10:20.08 in the 1000 freestyle, good enough for third place and a team season best performance.

UW-Whitewater will train over the holiday break, and return to competition January 12 at the University of Chicago Invitational.  The next time UW-W will host a meet in the Williams Center pool will be January 26 at 1:00 against UW-Eau Claire.
