The UW-Whitewater women's tennis team, ranked seventh in the central region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, defeated Luther, ranked ninth, 8-1 on Tuesday in Orlando, Florida.  The win is the fifth in a row for the Warhawks, who are also ranked 26th in the nation by ITA, and they improve to 16-2 in dual matches this season.

Kalla Schaefer (Madison/Madison Memorial) and Alexandra Bayliss (Sheboygan/North) took down the thirteenth ranked doubles team in the central region of Alana Humpal and Katie Nichols by a score of 8-5 to improve to 5-1 at the number one double slot.  UW-W proceeded to sweep all singles flights in straight sets to cruise to victory.

The Warhawks will take the day off on Wednesday before competing in two matches on Thursday in Florida.  The first match is against Kalamazoo College at 8:00 am, and the second match is at 3:30 pm against Calvin College.
