The UW-Whitewater women's tennis team, ranked seventh in the central region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, defeated Luther, ranked ninth, 8-1 on Tuesday in Orlando, Florida. The win is the fifth in a row for the Warhawks, who are also ranked 26th in the nation by ITA, and they improve to 16-2 in dual matches this season.
Kalla Schaefer (Madison/Madison Memorial) and
Alexandra Bayliss (Sheboygan/North) took down the thirteenth ranked doubles team in the central region of Alana Humpal and Katie Nichols by a score of 8-5 to improve to 5-1 at the number one double slot. UW-W proceeded to sweep all singles flights in straight sets to cruise to victory.
