The Warhawk bowling team opened the 2011-2012 season with a 4-1 record on the first day of a Wisconsin Collegiate Bowling Conference tournament in New Berlin, Wisconsin.
UW-W defeated UW-Green Bay 951-724, UW-Oshkosh 938-752, Winona State 883-771, and UW-Stout 897-625. The lone loss came at the hands of UW-Milwaukee, 929-904.
Ashley Bell (Menomonee Falls/Menomonee Falls ) led the Warhawks, rolling the top game (229) and series (619).
Katelyn Miles (Rockford, IL/Jefferson) was close behind with a 224 game and 612 series. Other team members (and their top game of the day) included

The tournament will continue Sunday, with teams rolling Baker games through a ladder to the final. Saturday's games will be used to determine seeding and matchups Sunday.
After Sunday, UW-W's next competition will be October 29-30 at a WCBC event in Kenosha.
