Students in Karen Barak's Recreation Programming and Leadership course in the Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Coaching, played a key role in fundraising for the SlakStrong Swimathon and the Cure 33 Punt Pass and Kick events. The students were given the tasks of developing, designing, promoting, implementing, and most importantly raising funds and awareness to assist swimmer
Tyler Slak (Fort Atkinson/Fort Atkinson) and linebacker AJ Raebel. The class put on two events, the
Slackstrong Swimathon for Tyler, and the
Cure 33 Punt Pass and Kick for AJ. The class, in combination with other volunteer groups, was able to raise a combined total of $1700 for these causes. Please continue to support these individuals and their families with your donations and kindness.
