The following University of Wisconsin-Whitewater athletes have been recognized by the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for their performances during the week of April 20th - 26th

Baseball - Position

Leyten Bowers — Infield — Senior — Mineral Point, Wis./Mineral Point
 

Leyten Bowers led the Warhawks at the plate during a 6-0 week, as UWW extended its win streak to 30 and clinched the WIAC regular-season title. Bowers went .480 (12-for-25) from the plate with 8 RBIs and also scored 9 runs himself. Bowers had a 1.000 slugging percentage, hitting 4 doubles & three home runs.

Men's Tennis - Singles


Singles: Gavin Kelleher — Sophomore — Brooklyn, Minn./Champlin Park

Gavin Kelleher clinched the match point in the Warhawks' regular-season finale against Kalamazoo. Kelleher defeated Will Seymour in straight sets (7-5, 6-4) at No. 4 singles to give the Warhawks the 4-3 win over the 30th-ranked Hornets.

Gavin Kelleher — Sophomore — Brooklyn, Minn./Champlin Park & Charles Morgan — Sophomore — Naperville, Ill./Central


Gavin Kelleher & Charles Morgan grabbed the doubles point with their 6-2 win over the No. 2 doubles pair from Kalamazoo. The Warhawks went on to defeat the 30th-ranked Hornets 4-3.
