The 2010 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletics Conference Softball Tournament field was announced today. UW-Whitewater received a third seed in the tournament.

2010 WIAC Tournament Schedule

UW-W will play its first game at 12:00 pm on Friday May 7 against UW-Superior, which received a fourth seed. The 'Hawks second game in the tournament will be at 2:00 pm on Friday as well.

This year the tournament is hosted by UW-Oshkosh. Games will be played at two venues: Oshkosh Sports Complex and Oshkosh North High School.  The Warhawks' first game on Friday is at the high school.

The Warhawks finished the regular season with a record of 27-13 overall, 10-6 in WIAC league play, and 16-0 at home.

Last year, the team went 2-2 in the WIAC tournament and lost to UW-River Falls to eliminate them from the tournament.  The team went on receiving an at-large bid, but eventually lost to Illinois Wesleyan in the NCAA DIII Regional series.
