Men's Tennis Season Ends in Second Round of NCAA

UW-Whitewater fell to ninth-ranked Kenyon College, 5-0, in the second round of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III Men's Tennis Championship.  The regional is being hosted by UW-W, with Kenyon, 17-9, and Trinity University (TX), 19-6, meeting at 12:00 Sunday for the regional title and a spot in the final championship series March 25-27 in Oberlin, Ohio.  Whitewater Regional web site

UW-Whitewater defeated UW-Eau Claire 5-2 in the first round Friday.

The Warhawks finish the 2009-2010 season with a 22-9 record and their third straight berth in the national championship tournament.  Kelvin Caiati (Greendale/Greendale) led Warhawk singles players with a 22-10 record.  Caiati and partner Danny Glinnert also compiled the best doubles mark, 26-9.
