Women Netters Reach Regional Final of NCAA

UW-Whitewater evened one score Friday, and set up a chance for another.  UW-Whitewater defeated Wheaton College (IL) 5-1 Friday in the second round of the NCAA III Saint Peter, Minnesota Regional hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College.   UW-W was eliminated from the 2009 NCAA tourney with a 5-0 second round loss to Wheaton.

UW-W, 22-5, had a bye in the first round Thursday as the number two seed.  The Warhawks will face host Gustavus, 32-10, the number one seed and a 5-0 winner over Luther College in Friday's second round.  Gustavus was the squad that knocked the Warhawks out of the 2008 NCAA championship by a 6-0 score.
