UW-Whitewater, ranked eighteenth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III poll, split a pair of matches against national caliber competition Saturday at the Midwest Invitational. UW-W lost to seventh ranked DePauw University 7-2 in a morning match at the Niesen Tennis Center in Madison, then defeated number twenty-five Luther College 5-4 Saturday afternoon at Cherokee Country Club.

UW-W has a number of players vying for best record on the team. Siemon leads the team in wins with a 21-7 mark. Stensvaag is next at 18-10, with Schaffer (17-6), Daciolas (17-7) and Smith (16-7) close in both wins and winning percentage. Siemon and Rutkowski have the best winning percentage in doubles, teaming up for a 16-3 record. Schaffer and Daciolas have reached the twenty win mark, 20-11, and Stensvaag and Smith have combined for a 19-8 record.
The Warhawks' next home match will be a doubleheader against Edgewood College and Elmhurst College on Saturday April 17th. UW-W is 17-4.
