Team scores were UW-Stevens Point 878.5, UW-La Crosse 792, UW-Eau Claire 788.5, UW-Whitewater 467, UW-Oshkosh 236, and UW-River Falls 171.

Saving the best for last would be an accurate statement for the Warhawk women Saturday.  In seven events UW-W swimmers swam six team season best times, breaking two school records.

Courtney Jenkins (Gurnee, IL/Gunee) finished 12th in the 200 backstroke with her time, 2:13.53, breaking the UW-W record.  Anne Leupold (Brookfield/Brookfield East) put her name up on the record board with an 18:15.75 clocking, for seventh place, in the 1650 freestyle.

But the top times didn't stop there.  Megan Kohnke (Milwaukee/Riverside) placed seventh in the 100 freestyle in a team season best 54.26; Jenkins added another season best performance in the 200 breaststroke in 2:17.64, and the 400 freestyle relay was clocked in 3:39.74, another team season best.  That quartet included Kaitlyn Kincaid, Kaylyn Howley (Sheboygan/Sheboygan South), Lisa Dlugolpolski, and Kohnke.

Kirsten Jahn capped off the successful day with UW-W's top individual finish, placing fourth in the 200 breaststroke in 2:28.62.

Jahn, who has a NCAA III "B" qualifying mark in the 100 breaststroke, will await word on her participation in the national championship meet March 17-20 back in the University of Minnesota pool.
