The UW-Whitewater women's tennis lost to Wheaton College in the second round of the NCAA Division III tennis championships in St. Peter, Minnesota on Friday, 5-0. The Warhawks finish the season with a 23-4 record.

The Warhawks dropped all three doubles matches and all Wheaton needed were two more victories in singles. Those came at the number one and number six positions. The remaining matches were not finished as the winner had already been determined. Complete results are listed below.

The Warhawks wrap up the season boasting the first tennis player, male or female, in UW-W history to win thirty matches in a season,
Kalla Schaefer (Madison/Madison Memorial) (32-6). Four others singles players: Stensvaag, Siemon, Smith and Daciolas, finished the season with over twenty wins apiece. The doubles tandems of Schaefer and Siemon, Stensvaag and Daciolas, and
Brittany Gering (Greendale/Greendale) and Amundson also notched twenty or more wins.
The Warhawks earned an automatic berth in the NCAA tourney by winning the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic final four May 2. Whitewater won the WIAC dual meet title with a 6-0 mark, won all nine flights at the WIAC tournament, and defeated UW-Oshkosh 6-0 and UW-Eau Claire 5-3 in the WIAC final four.
