All (Purple) Roads Lead to Whitewater

UW-Whitewater freshman showed their school spirit this week participating in a two-day event called Club U-Dub-Dub. This event was highlighted with two major activities, the celebration in Perkins Stadium and painting Warhawk Drive.

First year students began with running into Perkins Stadium and onto the football field. While appearing on the jumbotron and being greeted by various upperclassman, athletes, staff, and university administrators, the freshman learned the fight song and fired up for the painting of Warhawk Drive.

Painting the road purple is a UW-Whitewater tradition and has made a big impact on the freshman, helping them meet new friends and feel comfortable on campus as they begin their college education.
