Save these dates! University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Women's Sports Fund Special Events for 2010-2011.

“National Girls and Women in Sports Day” - The UW-Whitewater Women's Gymnastics Team will be hosting UW-Eau Claire on Saturday, February 5^th! We have designated that day “Girls and Women in Sports Day”. We would like to invite young girls in the area, (grades K-8^th) to participate in the UW-W Dance Team clinic which will run from in the morning located in DLK Basketball Gym! Cost is $15.00 per child.  Registration information coming soon! A snack will be provided! The participants (K-8^th grade) of the Dance Clinic will show what they learned at the beginning of the Gymnastics meet at 4:00 pm. All participants will receive free admission into the Warhawk Women's Track and Field (12-5 pm), Swimming and Diving (1-3 pm), and Gymnastics (4-6:30 pm)! See Registration form!

 

Kids Night Out - UW-Whitewater's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) would like to be a host for your children to allow parents to enjoy a night out together by providing parents the opportunity to drop off their children on Friday, February 25^th from 5-8 pm and hang out with our student-athletes. The children will be able to participate in games, watch movies, etc. Snacks and juice will be provided. Cost per hour is: $5 per 1 child; $7 per 2 children; $8 per 3 children. 5K walk/run - On Saturday, April 16^th, UW-Whitewater's Women's Sports will be holding a 4^rd Annual 5K walk/run in an effort to raise money for the Women's Sports Fund and the MS Society.   The course will be challenging and provide you with an opportunity to run/walk as a family to support Girls and Women in sports and the Wisconsin MS Society. Please come and support our Women's Softball team who will be playing UW-Eau Claire at 2:00 pm!  Registration fee is $10! Free t-shirt to the first 250 registered participants. Registration will begin at 10:00 am with the run starting 11:00 am at the Coulthart Pavilion located on UW-Whitewater's campus between Perkins Stadium and our Marty van Steenderen softball field. Tailgate to follow with a lot of family activities! This day will also be Warhawk Softball Alumni Day as well as Kids Day!!J See registration form.

 

Golf Outing – Thursday, August 4^th, UW-Whitewater's Women's Sports Fund will be hosting its 3^nd Annual Golf Outing at Evergreen Golf Club located in Elkhorn, WI. There will be a shotgun start at 11:00 am. The cost for 18 holes of golf with a cart and dinner is $85.00; $15.00 for dinner and socializing only. Co-ed teams are accepted! Please see registration form.
