Senior catcher Liz Yucius opened the Whitewater fourth with a leadoff home run, her seventh of the season and the game winner.  Amy Gahl (Beloit/Parkview) followed with an RBI single, and Gersich brought in two more with her seventh homer of the year to put UW-W up 5-1.  Whitewater tacked on three more in the seventh.  Jordyn Gaza (Mundelein, IL/Carmel Catholic) singled in one run and Tina Galuk (Lake in the Hills, IL/Crystal Lake South) brought in the last two with a single.

Gahl's single in the fourth gave her 227 for her career, tying the WIAC record also held by Casey Leisgang of UW-Eau Claire (2005-2008).  Ashley Smith (Elgin, IL/St. Edward Catholic) and Gaza had three hits apiece for the Warhawks, giving them half of the team's total of twelve.

The homeruns from seniors Yucuis and Gersich brought the Warhawk season total to 39, breaking the tie for second with the 2007 team in the UW-W record book.

Whitewater sophomore Jessica Stang (Minnetonka, MN/Minnetonka), 19-1, did not allow an earned run, gave up just two hits and walked two while striking out nine.
