The UW-Whitewater women's bowling team, ranked fifteenth according to the National Tenpin Coaches Association poll, defeated sixteenth ranked Elmhurst College in a regular game 959-871 and in a Baker match 4-1.
The Warhawks faced Elmhurst College just one week ago at Elmhurst where they were defeated in both the regular match and Baker match. However, Whitewater's home advantage did them well as they were able to defeat Elmhurst 959-871 in the regular match. Leann Eimermann (Campbellsport/Campbellsport) led the Warhawks with a game of 222 and Kayla Schmidt (Johnston, IA/Johnston) followed closely behind with a 209. Lynn Smith (Dixon, IL/Dixon) added a 191 and Candice Schmidt (Antioch, IL/Antioch Community) and Whitney Kueltzo (Homer Glen, IL/Lockport Township) contributed a 187 and 150 respectively in the win.
UW-W lost the first game in the Baker match 173-181 but the Warhawks bounced back with a 166-136 win in game two. Whitewater never looked back and took the next three games and the match 4-1.
