Mike Harmatys (Brookfield/East) did not play against Kalamazoo because of a back injury. Despite his loss in the Kalamazoo match William Krieger (Hartland/Arrowhead) leads the team with an 8-1 singles record. Erich Palechek and Danny Glinert (Madison/Edgewood) have combined for a team best 5-3 mark in doubles.
The Warhawks are 2-3 in dual matches this season, 2-2 against Division III opponents. UW-W, ranked ninth in the Central Region in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III poll of the fall (the first spring poll is March 3) hasn't been ducking anyone. One loss is to Division I UW-Madison, one to the University of Chicago, and this one to Kalamazoo. Chicago is ranked fourth in the Central Region and twenty-fifth nationally, and Kalamazoo is seventh in the region and twenty-eighth in Division III.
UW-Whitewater will host Wheaton College (IL) at the Four Lakes Club in Elkhorn, Wisconsin Friday, February 13 at 6:00. The Warhawks will return to the Kachel Fieldhouse to host Saint Francis (IL) and UW-Oshkosh Sunday, February 15 at 9:00 and 1:00, respectively.
