Swimmers Open Season With Win Over Carroll University 132-84

The UW-Whitewater women's swim team opened their 2009-10 season with a 132-84 win over Carroll University Friday night in Whitewater.

UW-W took first in every event at the meet except the 200 yard individual medley and 100 yard breaststroke.

Lisa Dlugopolski (Mequon/Homestead) and Megan Kohnke (Milwaukee/Riverside) led the Warhawk women each capturing firsts in three events. Dlugopolski had a hand in the 200 medley relay team that recorded a time of 2:01.14 and also took top honors in the 50 freestyle (26.21) and 100 butterfly (1:05.79). 

Kohnke helped the 400 freestyle relay team record 3:51.09 which was good enough for first at the meet and also recorded wins in 100 and 200 freestyle races (56.93, 2:03.71).

UW-W is scheduled to host Lawrence University Saturday, November 7 with a scheduled start time of 1:00 p.m.
