Aron Kehoe (Monroe/Monroe) and Cory Lockridge (Milwaukee/Rufus King) win their events to lead UW-Whitewater performances at the Warren Bowlus Open hosted by UW-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin Saturday. Kehoe provided a school record, and Warhawks Ben Stringer (Assumption, IL/Central A&M) and Shaun Davis (Edgerton/Edgerton) met National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III provisional qualifying standards.

Kehoe placed first in the 1000 meters with a 2:29.2, breaking the record set last year by Brian Butzler (Beloit/Beloit Turner). Lockridge won the long jump at 21-10.75. Whitewater's 4x200 relay (1:31.32) and its 4x400 relay (3:26.15) also crossed the finish line first.
Stringer placed fifth in the weight throw, with his toss of 55-10.25 setting a team season best and meeting the provisional qualifying standard for the NCAA III indoor track and field championship. Davis was right behind 55-5,5, also meeting the provisional mark.
Five Warhawks finished second in their specialties. Brakken Kraker (West Allis/West Allis Central) set a team season best with his 4:21.51 in the mile, Travis Morehouse (Cottage Grove/Monona Grove) went 6-3.5 in the high jump, Mike Schmitt (Manitowoc/Roncalli) jumped 40-11.75 in the triple jump, and Luke Hibner (Elmhurst, IL/York Community) heaved the shot put 48-8.
Five more UW-W athletes finished third. That group included Brian Gensrick (Mequon/Homestead) in the 55 hurdles (7.7, Matt Kovensky in the 400 meters (51.45), Tyler Eddy (Mukwonago/Mukwonago) in the high jump (6-1.5), and Shaun Davis (Edgerton/Edgerton) in the long jump (21-3.25). Isiah Gray (Milwaukee/Brown Deer) placed third in the 200 meters, recording a team season best time of 22.93.
UW-W will host the Warhawk Classic Friday, February 6 at 5:00 in the Kachel Fieldhouse at UW-W.
