Number three UW-Whitewater rolled past UW-Superior 91-48 Saturday afternoon in Kachel Gym in Williams Center in Whitewater, Wisconsin.

Whitewater started out 8-0, led the entire game, and had a double digit lead from the 16:19 mark of the first half. UW-W led 53-24 at halftime. The disparity reached 45 points, 89-44 with 2:07 left in the game.
The Warhawks hit 21-29 free throws and Superior 9-15. Whitewater shot 55% (31-56) and Superior 36% (17-47). The Warhawk defense forced the Yellowjackets in to 32 turnovers.
Whitewater used twenty players in the game, with twelve of them breaking in to the scoring column. Five Warhawks were in double figures. Tiffany Morton (Beloit/Memorial) notched her tenth double double of the season, leading both teams with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Heidi Sonntag (Milwaukee/Wisconsin Lutheran) scored 15 points, Rachel Woolever (Colfax/Colfax) 13, Kelsey Hendrickson (Monroe/Monroe) 11, and Dana Thompson (Belleville/Belleville) 10 for UW-W. Sarah Moran (Waukesha/South) dished out a game high six assists.
The Yellowjackets did not have a scorer in double figures. Freshman forward Bri Davis and freshman guard Katie Zavodny scored eight points apiece for UW-S. Davis also led her team with six rebounds.
UW-Whitewater, ranked third in both Division III polls, is 17-1 overall and 8-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. UW-Superior is 4-13, and 0-9 in league play.
UW-W will host UW-La Crosse Wednesday, January 28 at 7:00 in Kachel Gym of Wiliams Center.
