Saturday, September 27 the Warhawks hosted UW-River Falls and defeated them 1-0. Mary Donohoo (Wauwatosa/West) scored the lone goal of the game in the first half.

In the 37th minute Donohoo the only goal, unassisted, to make the score 1-0. That score would last for the whole game. Whitewater had a total of seven shots to River Falls' two in the first half.
River Falls battled back in the second half. The Falcons had five shots on goal but unfortunately for them, no shots got past Whitewater goalkeeper, Mary Scanlin (Waunakee/Waunakee). Scanlin saved six goals total while Falcons goalkeeper Emily Stieler saved four.
Leading the field was Whitewater's Donohoo with three shots, two on goal and one goal and Sara Brown (Lake Zurich, IL/Lake Zurich) also had three shots, two on goal.
Whitewater is now 4-5 overall and 1-2 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference while River Falls is now 2-8 overall and 0-4 in the WIAC.
The next game for the Warhawks will be Wednesday, October 1 against UW-Oshkosh at Whitewater at 4:00.
