Whitewater men's soccer hosted the University of St. Thomas on Saturday, September 27. The Warhawks defeated St. Thomas in a one sided victory with a score of 10-1.

The ten goals equals the fifth most in school history, and the most UW-W has scored since ten versus Rockford College October 2, 2004.
Alexander Benson, goal keeper for St. Thomas made his debut for the season, and the Warhawks exploited this by out shooting St. Thomas 23 to 6. Kyle Bast (Hartland/Arrowhead), senior forward, got the scoring started at 7:35 into the game with his sixth goal of the season to put the Warhawks up 1 to 0. Zach Rewasiewicz (South Milwaukee/South Milwaukee), freshman forward, put in the game winning goal twenty minutes into the game. The Warhawks scored five more times before St. Thomas' Aley Daley, freshman midfielder, got them on the board. Whitewater then continued by scoring three more goals all by Luke Buchholz (Whitewater/Whitewater), the last one coming with 8 seconds left in the game.
Buchholz had two goals on three shots and one assist, Rewasiewicz had one goal on four shots with one assist. Corey Meyer didn't want to be left out because he had two goals on two shots.
UW-Whitewater is now 5-3-2 overall and St. Thomas is now 8-3-0 overall.
The next game for Whitewater will be at Wheaton, Illinois on Friday, October 3 with a 7:00 pm start time. The next home game for the Warhawks will be Wednesday, October 8 against Illinois Wesleyan with a 4:00 start time.
