On Wednesday, September 17, Whitewater traveled to UW-Platteville and fell short of winning with a score of Whitewater 0 and Platteville 1. Platteville's Kim Schneckloth was the player that scored the lone goal of the game, unassisted in the 58th minute. The win for Platteville improves their record to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Whitewater's record is now 2-4 overall and 0-1 in the WIAC.

 In the first period the Warhawks had seven shots compared to the Pioneers two. The total shots for the game were 15 for Whitewater with eight of them on goal and eight shots for Platteville with three on goal and one goal.

Platteville's goal keeper, Hannah Krier, had eight saves for the game and Schneckloth led her team with three shots, two of them on goal. Whitewater's Mary Donohoo (Wauwatosa/West) also had three shots, two of them on goal as well.

The Pioneers defeated the Warhawks for the first time since 1995, ending a 11-0-1 win streak for Whitewater.
