UW-W, ranked twenty-ninth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III poll, is 18-8 this season. The Warhawks, winners of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship in October, will host the first WIAC "final four" Saturday, April 26 on the Wangerin Courts. The WIAC final four was instituted because the league's automatic berth in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III championship tournament goes to the league champion, but league coaches felt that with their championship in October teams could be significantly different for the May national championship. The winner of the final four will earn the automatic berth in the NCAA III tourney.
