UW-Whitewater swept St. Cloud State and improved its overall record to 8-2 by winning a doubleheader by scores of 4-2 and 11-3.
In game one, senior Adam Dominick (Waukesha/Waukesha West) pitched six innings allowing no earned runs on five hits and one walk and striking out seven batters while earning the win.
UW-Whitewater opened the scoring in the second inning. After Kevin Zalnis (Woodstock, IL/Woodstock) tripled, Ben Prather (Chicago, IL/James B. Conant) knocked him in on a single. The Warhawks never looked back.
Zalnis tripled again in the fourth and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Thomas Donovan. One batter later, Billy Johnson (Kenosha/Kenosha Tremper) doubled in another run pushing the score to 3-0.
The Warhawks added their final run in the sixth on an RBI-single from Johnson.
The Huskies made the game interesting in the top of the seventh.
Mike Jacobson (Oak Creek/Oak Creek) relieved Dominick and faced only two batters, allowing one base runner on a walk. He was then replaced by Kale Olson (Rochester, MN/Century) who allowed two runs, one earned, on an RBI-double from Luke Klitzke and an RBI-single from Kyle Resser.
With the two runners on base and only one out, Olson fanned the next two batters to earn the save and preserve the victory.

The Warhawks added three runs in the fourth and one each in the fifth and sixth innings.
Pitcher Aaron Dott (Green Lake/Green Lake) threw five strong innings allowing only two runs on two hits and one walk while fanning six.
