UW-W blanked the Massachusetts Institute of Technology 5-0 Thursday in Fort Myers, Florida.

UW-W broke in to the scoring column with a pair of runs in the third, all it would need this day.  Suzanne Gersich (Wadsworth, IL/Warren) brought in the first run with a sacrifice fly, and the second scored on a MIT error. 

Gersich and Nicole Bothun (Fort Atkinson/Fort Atkinson) stroked two hits apiece for the Warhawks, with Gersich also accounting for two runs batted in.  Jessica Stang (Minnetonka, MN/Minnetonka) went the distance on the mound, picking up the win while giving up five hits, walking four and striking out ten -- tied for sixth in the school record book.

UW-W is set to conclude its spring trip with a game against DePauw University later today.
