Katie Saffold (Lake Zurich, IL/Lake Zurich) placed forty-seventh with a 184.4 average, in a field of 119 competitors, to lead UW-Whitewater to twelfth place in the eighteen team, three day, Mid-Winter Classic hosted by Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Whitewater rolled a 1,029 game in the second match of the tournament, the best by the team this season and just four pins from being listed in the top ten of the UW-W record book.

The University of Maryland-Eastern Shore won the team title with an overall pin total of 13,829. Whitewater, which went 7-8 in head-to-head competition, totaled 12,273 pins.

Whitney Kueltzo (Homer Glen, IL/Lockport Township), 85th at 165.9.
Katie Gould (Naperville, IL/Waubonsie Valley) led UW-W with a 191.7 average, but bowled just three of the ten games.
Ashley Keclik (Hoffman Estates, IL/Fremd) averaged 180.5 in two games, and
Lynn Smith (Dixon, IL/Dixon) bowled four games for a 154.5 average. Gould had UW-W's top game in the tournament, a 240, fourth best on the team this season.
Sarah Pelletier of Sacred Heart won the tournament with a 218.7 average.
UW-W's next competition will be Wednesday, February 9, a dual meet at Elmhurst College.
