Jason Johnson Wins on Senior Night

#11 Warhawks Defeat Platteville

UW-Whitewater, ranked eleventh in the National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III, defeated UW-Platteville 30-8 Friday evening in Kachel Gym of Williams Center.

Nagel, 26-14, leads UW-W in victories.  Bautista, 25-7, upped his team best winning percentage to .781.   Oldenburg is 10-7, Wachholder 15-10, Schuck 17-16, Casper 22-12, Johnson 11-11, and Evans 20-9.

Reid and Johnson, both seniors, were making their final appearance on the mat in Williams Center.
UW-Whitewater is 11-9 overall in duals, 4-2 versus Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference competition.  The Warhawks' record against non-scholarship teams is 11-6.

The Warhawks' next competition will be the WIAC Tournament Sunday, February 24 at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. (Note: Lawrence is a member of the WIAC in the sport of wrestling.)
