With both teams nationally ranked it figures that several individuals also had rankings on the line.  Whitewater's Austin Bautista (Des Plaines, IL/Maine East), ranked number one by the NWCA, kept his season record unblemished at 9-0.  UW-W's Nagel, ranked sixth at 165 pounds, moved up a weight class, and Jon Schmidt (Menomonee Falls/Hartford) improved to 7-0 with a win over Dan Laurent, the defending NCAA Division III champion and number one ranked wrestler at 285.  Whitewater's Karl Voeck (Madison/Memorial) also pulled off an upset, beating the number six wrestler in his class while raising his record to 11-1.  UW-L's Zabel, ranked fourth, upped his record to 18-3 with his win.

UW-W is 4-1 in dual meets, 2-0 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.  UW-L is 9-2 overall and 1-1 in the league.

The Warhawks will compete in the Dick Walker Invite hosted by Wartburg College Saturday, December 13.  The next home meet will be the annual Border Brawl January 24.
