Mintz Leads Warhawks to Victory over Lawrence

The UW-Whitewater men's swimming and diving team defeated Lawrence University on Saturday in Appleton by a score of 132-92. The Warhawks are now 3-1 in dual meets this season.

The men won seven different events en route to their victory. Matt Mintz (Hinsdale, IL/Central) won both the 1650 freestyle and 200 butterfly races. Mintz was the only two-time individual event winner. Other individual event winners included: Eric Nord (Hales Corner/Whitnall), Bill Stenavich (Brookfield/Central), and Andy Hanney (Grafton/Grafton).
 
UW-W also won the 200 yard medley relay and the 200 yard freestyle relay.
 
The Warhawks are back in the pool on November 22 for the WIAC relays that are hosted by UW-Eau Claire. The Warhawks next home meet isn't until January 31 when they host UW-Eau Claire at 1:00 pm in the Williams Center pool.
