UW-Whitewater defeated UW-River Falls 2-0 Saturday in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinal at Fiskum Field in Whitewater, Wisconsin.

Stephanie Desjardins (Park Ridge, IL/Main South) opened the scoring at 13:56, unassisted, with her second goal of the season. In the second half Mary Donohoo (Wauwatosa/West), scored her team-leading fourteenth goal of the season. Donohoo's goal total is tied for the third highest in school history.
Mary Scanlin (Waunakee/Waunakee) made four saves in the net for UW-W to record her third shutout of the season.
UW-W also defeated UW-River Falls during the regular season, 1-0 in Whitewater September 27.
UW-W will face UW-Eau Claire, a 4-0 winner over UW-Oshkosh, in a WIAC Tournament semifinal Friday at 2:00 in Stevens Point. The other semifinal will match the host Pointers, a 4-3 winner over UW-Platteville, against UW-La Crosse, which defeated UW-Stout 2-1 in a quarterfinal, at 11:00. The winners of Friday's semifinals will meet Saturday at 1:00 in Stevens Pont for the WIAC Tournament title. The conference tournament winner receives the league's automatic berth in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III championship tournament.
