UW-Whitewater overcame a scoreless first half to defeat Illinois Wesleyan University 2-1 Wednesday at Fiskum Field in Whitewater, Wisconsin.

The Warhawks and Titans played to a scoreless draw in the first half.
IWU got on the board first with a goal by John Blodgett, assisted by Chris Sleezer, at 65:00.
Whitewater's Luke Buchholz (Whitewater/Whitewater) evened the game, with an assist from Zach Rewasiewicz (South Milwaukee/South Milwaukee), at 70:00. Rewasiewicz put in the game winner on a free kick at 84:30.
Whitewater's defense limited IWU to just one shot on goalie Kevin Spry (Barrington, IL/Barrington). The Warhawks had four shots on goal.
There were a total of seven yellow cards in the game, four on UW-W and three for the Titans.
UW-W is 6-4-2, and Illinois Wesleyan is 3-6-1.
The Warhawks will play Friday, October 17 at 7:00 at Edgewood College in Madison. The next home game will be the next day, Saturday, October 18 against Dominican University with a 3:00 start time. Fiskum Field is located west of Perkins Stadium, northwest of Williams Center, on the UW-W campus.
