Carthage College, ranked tenth in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III poll, defeated eleventh-ranked UW-Whitewater 3-0 in the second round of the Warhawk Invitational IV Friday evening in Williams Center in Whitewater, Wisconsin. The game scores were 25-22. 21-25. 25-17. 25-23.

Keri Klotzbuecher (Clintonville/Clintonville) led UW-W with 11 kills. Kelly Sorenson and Christina DeGroot (Kewaskum/Kewaskum) added 11 digs apiece, and Alyssa Bauer (Naperville, IL/Central) led the Warhawks with 26 assists.
UW-Whitewater is 25-7 and Carthage is 23-3. Carthage also defeated UW-W 3-1 September 5 at a tournament hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University.
UW-W will continue play in the tournament Saturday, with a match against Elmhurst College at 11:00 a.m. and Lakeland College at 3:00 p.m. in the Williams Center volleyball arena.
