The UW-Whitewater men's soccer team improved to 8-5-2 with a 1-0 win over UW-Superior on Saturday in Superior. The UW-W men have won three of their last four games. UW-Superior falls to 9-8 this season.
The lone goal of the game was scored on a
Dan Montanye (Mukwonago/Mukwonago) penalty kick in the thirty-fifth minute of the game.
Andrew Krueger (New Berlin/Catholic Memorial) started his second game in goal this season and recorded the shutout without having to make any saves. The Yellowjackets attempted only four shots the entire game and none were on goal. The Warhawks attempted fourteen shots in the game.
The Warhawks will play again on Sunday at home against the University of Chicago beginning at 2:00 pm at Fiskum Field.
