The UW-Whitewater women's soccer team fell to 9-8 on Tuesday after a 2-1 loss to Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois. Elmhurst improves to 7-6 for the season.

Elmhurst scored the first two goals of the game and UW-W could not overcome the lead. The Bluejays scored in the thirty-second minute and the fiftieth minute of the match. UW-W was able to get on the board with a goal in the sixty-second minute when
Megan Schlecht (Mukwonago/Mukwonago) knocked in a
Kelsey Strohm (Madison/Memorial) pass.
The Warhawks were outshot 7-2 in the first half, but turned that around in the second half when they outshot Elmhurst 10-2. Elmhurst goalkeeper Jessica Eberle made seven saves, six in the second half, while allowing just one goal.
UW-Whitewater returns to action on Saturday when they travel to UW-Superior for a 3:00 pm game. Whitewater is in sole possession of third place in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a record of 4-3 while UW-Superior is 0-7 in conference play.
