Warhawks Remain Unbeaten with 44-3 Win at Oshkosh

UW-Whitewater, ranked second in the NCAA III national polls, scored on all five of its first half possessions to remain unbeaten with a 44-3 win over UW-Oshkosh at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh, Wisconsin Saturday afternoon.

Oshkosh interrupted the Warhawk scoring with a 36-yard field goal by James Taraboi at 5:25.

Possession five:  Begin at 14, eleven plays, Schebler 18-yard field goal, 0:20 to make it 24-3 at the half.

Donovan threw for all 315 of his yards in the first half. 

Whitewater added two TD's and a field goal in the second half.  Coppage scored on a 44 yard run, Schebler kicked a 31-yard field goal, and Antwann Anderson closed the scoring with a 40-yard run with 4:07 left in the game.

Whitewater rolled up 549 yards, while limiting Oshkosh to 113.  The Titans ran the ball 29 times for 59 yards, and completed 7-17 passes for 54 yards. 

In addition to Donovan's big day, Coppage rushed 20 times for 103 yards.  The Warhawk defense had three quarterback sacks for minus 29 yards, and six tackles for a loss of 28 more yards.  

UW-Oshkosh is 3-2 overall and 1-2 in the WIAC. 

UW-Whitewater, 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the WIAC, will play the next three weeks at home.  The Warhawks will host UW-Stevens Point Saturday, October 25 at 1:00 for the annual Homecoming and Athletics Hall of Fame game.  Tickets for the game are available at the University Center ticket office Monday-Friday during normal business hours.  Tickets are also sold at the stadium windows on game day.  Call 262-472-2222 for ticket information.
