Whitewater had six shots, with three on goal in the first half while Edgewood had three shots with zero on goal. After a scoreless first half, Gerry's goal came at 52:39, assisted with a header by Angela Colleti.
The Warhawk defense was able to keep the high scoring Edgewood offense at bay, allowing only one goal while Edgewood averages 5.0 goals per game on the season. Whitewater's season mark evens at 7-7, as Edgewood improves to 12-3.
The next game for the women's soccer team will be on Saturday, October 18 when UW-W will host UW-Stout for a conference match. Kick-off is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at Fiskum Field in Whitewater
