The streak of wins stretched to seven for the Warhawks with a win over conference opponent UW-Superior in straight games, 3-0 Friday night in Gates Gym in Superior, Wisconsin. UW-W dominated the first set 25-15 while UW-Superior made a valiant effort to come back to no avail in the second and third games with scores 25-21, 26-24. UW-W is ranked fourteenth in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III national poll.

Highlights included ten kills from Caitlin Hogan (New London/New London), who was fed with assists from Jillian Neave (Salem/Westosha Central), 25, and Christina DeGroot (Kewaskum/Kewaskum), 10. A stellar hitting percentage came from Natalie Starken (Muskego/Muskego), hitting .538. Defensively, Alyssa Bauer (Naperville, IL/Central) led UW-W with nine digs, with Alyse Karls (Dane/Lodi) contributing eight. Melissa Zuleger (Little Chute/Little Chute) was credited with three blocks.
The match increases UW-W's overall record to 20-6, and 5-2 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while UW-Superior falls to 10-14 overall and 1-5 in the WIAC.
The next match for the Warhawks will be Saturday, October 18, when UW-W will continue conference play at host UW-Eau Claire, 12:00 p.m. The next home match for UW-W will be the UW-W Invitational III, October 24-25.
