The Warhawks toppled Edgewood College 2-0 Friday night at Breese Stevens Field in Madison, Wisconsin.
UW-W was on the offense for most of the game having thirty-three shots to Edgewood's three. UW-W gained the lead only 4:48 into the game and added one more goal before the half was over to reach the final score of the game.

Matt Gehn (Oregon/Oregon) scored first, assisted by Jake Duros (Lake Geneva/Williams Bay), giving UW-W the lead just 4:48 into the first half. The goal was Gehn's second of the season. The game remained 1-0 for another thirty-five minutes as the Whitewater offense kept firing on the Eagles' goal. Whitewater scored again with a rebound off the post being put back by Ryan Richgels (Madison/Memorial), his first of the season, assisted by Dan Montanye (Mukwonago/Mukwonago).
Throughout the game, Whitewater proved to be the dominant team having thirty-three shots, sixteen of those being on goal - led by Kyle Bast (Hartland/Arrowhead) and Gehn, each with three shots on goal. UW-W goalkeeper Kevin Spry (Barrington, IL/Barrington) had just one save, while Edgewood starting keeper Shane Sullivan racked up thirteen, and Edgewood's second keeper Kyle Koenig with one.
The Warhawks improve to 7-4-2 on the season, while the Eagles fall to 7-8-0.
The next game for UW-W will be Saturday, October 18 against Dominican University. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Fiskum Field in Whitewater.
