Four goals propelled the UW-Whitewater women's soccer team to a 4-1 victory over UW-La Crosse on Saturday at Fiskum Field in Whitewater. The Warhawks scored the first four goals of the game en route to their sixth win of the season. UW-W is now 6-6-0 overall and 3-3-0 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference while UW-L drops to 6-5-2 overall and 2-3-1 in the WIAC.

Mary Donohoo (Wauwatosa/West) scored her ninth goal of the season in the eleventh minute of the game to start things off for the 'Hawks. Two other first half goals, one by
Sara Brown (Lake Zurich, IL/Lake Zurich) and one by
Melanie Billinghurst (Lake Mills/Lake Mills), gave the Warhawks a 3-0 lead going into halftime.
In the sixty-fifth minute,
Becky Cera (Wauwatosa/Wauwatosa West) added a goal, her third of the season, to give the Warhawks a four goal advantage. UW-L midfielder, Chelsea Gilbertson, scored in the seventy-seventh minute to prevent the shutout.
Mary Scanlin (Waunakee/Waunakee) stopped three Eagle shots to record her sixth victory of the season as the Warhawk goalkeeper. The Warhawks outshot the Eagles 16-10 in the match.
The Warhawks play again on Sunday when they travel to Milwaukee's Uihlein Soccer Park to face the Milwaukee School of Engineering in a match that begins at 1:00 pm.
