Warhawks Fall to D-One Badgers

The Warhawk men's tennis team fell to UW-Madison 7-0 Sunday afternoon at the Nielsen Tennis Center in Madison.

This is the first time since 1982 that the two schools have met in men's tennis.  UW-Madison is 9-0 in the series.

UW-Madison is ranked 27th in the latest poll of National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I teams.  The doubles team of Sonkin and Rassow-Kantor is ranked 26th.  UW-Whitewater, 1-1 this spring, went 25-4 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Diviision III championship in the spring of 2007.

UW-Whitewater will host Wheaton College (IL) Friday at 2:00 in Elkhorn, then host Michigan Tech at 9:00 and Concordia University (WI) at 1:00 in the Kachel Fieldhouse on campus Sunday.
