UW-Whitewater, ranked tenth in the
D3hoops.com poll, defeated UW-Stout 92-66 at Kachel Gym in Williams Center in Whitewater Saturday night.

Whitewater never trailed in the game. The lead was still in single digits, 27-21 with 6:43 left in the first half, but a 16-3 Warhawk run put the game in double digits the rest of the way. The Warhawks held at 34-point margin three times in the second half.
The game marked the fourth time that the Warhawks have scored 90+ points in a game, the last time coming December 30 in a 100-47 win over Rockford College. UW-W leads the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, averaging 81.8 points per game.
UW-W junior guard
Matt Goodwin (Milwaukee/Rufus King) led both teams with 29 points, including a 7-8 performance from three point range. The seven three's is tied for sixth in the school record book, and the .875 percentage equals the fourth best performance ever. That percentage is shared with two players, including Goodwin's current coach,
Pat Miller, who accomplished the feat February 10, 1989.
Junior guard
Myles McKay (Milwaukee/Menomonee Falls) added 13 points for Whitewater, and junior forwards
Kori Vernon (Madison/Memorial) and
Billy Kolinske (Big Bend/Waukesha Memorial) ten each. Sophomore guard
Kevin Koski (Jefferson/Jefferson) dished out a team season high ten assists, and sophomore center
Dustin Mitchell (Lac de Flambeau/Lakeland) grabbed a game high eight rebounds.
The Blue Devils were led by senior guard Miles Webb's 17 points, with senior forward Eric Heisler chipping in with 15. Junior guard Alex Mason also got in double figures, scoring ten.
Whitewater shot a season-best .611 from beyond the arc, and 65% overall.
UW-W is 13-2 overall, 6-1 in the WIAC, and UW-Stout is 3-13 overall and 0-6 in the WIAC.
UW-Whitewater will host UW-Platteville Wednesday at 7:00 in Kachel Gym in Williams Center.
