The Warhawk men's soccer team, mentioned in the "others receiving votes" in the latest D3kicks.com ranking of National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III teams, defeated Ripon College 1-0 on Saturday in Ripon.  UW-W is also mentioned in the two regional polls, ranking sixth in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Central Region poll, and placing eleventh in the D3kicks.com Central Region poll.

Whitewater scored the lone goal of the match just twenty-nine minutes into the game.  Abdoulaye Camara (sophomore, Africa) found the back of the net with a header on a pass by teammate Luke Mangognia (Hoffman Estates, IL/Palatine) (sophomore, Hoffman Estates, Ill./Fremd).  The goal is Camara's third of the year.

Goalkeeper EJ Sesselmann (Green Bay/Notre Dame) recorded his seventh shutout of the season and ran his record as goalie to 8-1.  Whitewater outshot Ripon 16-1 in the match.  The Warhawks have won eight games in a row.

The Warhawks (9-1) return to the field on Sunday, September 10, when they travel to St. Norbert College for a 3:00 pm match.
