The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater defeated UW-Oshkosh 1-0 Wednesday evening at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

UW-W, 6-2 overall nad 1-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, recorded its sixth shutout.  The Warhawks have allowed just four goals in the eight matches this season. 

UW-W goalie Amy Bailey (Whitefish Bay/Whitefish Bay) (fr, Whitefish Bay) stopped seven shots on goal to lower her season goals against average to 0.49. 

Becky Cera (Wauwatosa/Wauwatosa West) (so, Wauwatosa/West) scored the only goal of the game, and her third of the season, at 62:12.  She was assisted by Laken Jacobson (fr, Milton).

UW-Oshkosh had 17 shots to 9 for the Warhawks.  Oshkosh had three corner kicks to two for UW-W, and the Warhawks committed eleven fouls to eight for the Titans.

UW-Oshkosh is 1-6 overall, 0-1 in WIAC play.

UW-Whitewater will play at UW-River Falls Saturday, September 22 and at the University of Saint Thomas (MN) Sunday the 23rd.  The Warhawks' next home game will be against UW-Eau Claire, Saturday, September 29 at 1:00 on Fiskum Field on the north end of the UW-W campus.
