The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater defeated Benedictine University 5-0 Friday afternoon at Fiskum Field in Whitewater, Wisconsin.

The Warhawks scored the first goal twenty minutes into the game, unassisted by Alyssa Spaude (Hartland/Arrowhead) (junior, Hartford). At the 37 minute mark, a corner kick by Holly U'ren (freshman, Mount Horeb) bounced off a Benedictine defender into the Eagles' net. The Warhawks outshot the Eagles 9-4 in the first half. The Warhawks scored their third goal in the second half at the 59 minute mark on an unassisted goal by Kristy Talbert (Whitefish Bay/) (freshman, Whitefish Bay). Shortly after that, Mary Donohoo (Wauwatosa/West) (sophomore, Wauwatosa West) scored the fourth goal for the team.  Spaude scored her second goal at the 75 minute mark, ending the scoring for the day. The Warhawks outshot the Eagles 19-2.

The next home game will be Wednesday, Sept. 5th at 4:00 at Fiskum Field against Carroll College.
