UW-Whitewater moves their record up to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in conference to keep their unbeaten season alive with a 106-59 victory over UW-Superior at Kachel Gym in the Williams Center Saturday afternoon.

The Warhawks scored the first points of the game on a Kelsey Hendrickson (Monroe/Monroe) layup, but Superior answered right back with a bucket of their own by Amanda Rounsville. UW-W guard, Trisha Thill (Belgium/Ozaukee) then knocked down a three point basket to give Whitewater the lead for good.
UW-W's first half was fueled by a 10 point scoring run to put the score at 20-6. Later in the first half, UW-W had another big scoring run of 14 points to put the score at 40-8 with 5:32 to go in the first half. The half ended with the Warhawks up, 58-16.
UW-Superior put together a five point scoring run to open the first half, but Whitewater fired right back with eight straight points of their own. Whitewater and Superior battled to a fairly even second half, but Whitewater outscored Superior by five in the second half giving them a season high of 106 points of the night.
Whitewater's shooting helped propel them to a victory as they shot 36-65 (55.4%) from the field and Superior only shot 18-59 (30.5%). Whitewater also forced 34 turnovers and only turned the ball over 17 times themselves.
UW-W was led in scoring by Kelsey Hendrickson (Monroe/Monroe), who was 9-12 from the field and finished with 22 total points. Hendrickson also added five steals, three rebounds, and two assists. Rachel Woolever (Colfax/Colfax) also added 16 points making four of her six three point attempts. Megan Schmidt scored 13 points for the Warhawks as well. Tiffany Morton (Beloit/Memorial) put in 11 points and a team high seven rebounds. Superior was led in scoring by Carissa Nord, who finished with 10 points. Lisa Thielen and Gigi Hudson added nine points a piece. Hudson also pulled down a game high 12 rebounds.
UW-Whitewater resumes play on December 11, when they travel to Madison to take on Edgewood College for a 7:00 tipoff.
